It's difficult for Australia to set fresh records.

The greatest achievements have been successfully scaled.

This is the team that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, along with six more T20 titles, and previously enjoyed over three years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, the ones sought by the record chasers, are all that remain for a side that has achieved everything.

It needed up to Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase over 300, regaining their record for the highest in the female 50-over format, is, in truth, a testament to the bowling attack that have sported the yellow jersey over the past 50 years.

It's difficult for their batsmen to maintain a record if not afforded the chance.

In the end, the outcome of Australia giving up 330 runs was leader Alyssa Healy being given an opportunity to produce her most recent brilliance.

At the next 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, Healy scored 170 against England in the championship match and was named player of the tournament. She made sure her country would not fall short again.

If this latest epic knock exceeded that prior achievement remains open for discussion.

Certain people claim the case for final game tension. Different voices suggest with the difficulty that comes when facing a record target and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What is certain is this hundred was far harder to anticipate.

"The possibility to go out there and engage in competition with her and just have a bit of fun in that aspect, sort of got me going," said Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 balls - her fastest at the World Cup - and her hundred in 84 as she flogged anything short, scoring 21 fours and three big hits.

Once she was dismissed Australia needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - an unconquered height now needing a comfortable finish.

"Chasing 330 runs is new territory so I'm happy we have the assurance to do that now," continued Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to do it again but, should it happen, we believe we can do it."

These statements will be the ultimate thing Australia's opponents at this World Cup need to hear.

During the last week a sense they will succeed regardless of circumstances has only strengthened - this success following success over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite struggling at 76-7 at one point.
